How It Works

What is WPM?
Words Per Minute. One word = 5 characters. 40 WPM is average, 70+ is fast, 100+ is top tier.
Grades & Accuracy
Based on speed and accuracy combined. S needs 100% accuracy. A is 95%+, B is 90%+, C is 80%+, D is below.
Score Calculation
WPM times accuracy times combo multiplier. Combo builds with consecutive correct keys and resets on any error.
XP & Levels
Earned after each test based on WPM, accuracy, and combo. Levels are a long-term progress indicator.
Comeback Bonus
Fall below your best a few times in a row, then beat it - you'll earn a bonus XP payout on top of your normal score. The bigger the slump, the bigger the comeback.
Daily Challenge
Everyone gets the same text each day. One attempt per day. The daily leaderboard resets at midnight.
Sudden Death
One typo and the test ends. Forces precision over speed. Toggle it in the practice bar.
Ghost Cursor
Set a target WPM and a ghost cursor races through the text at that pace. Green border when ahead, red when behind.
Weak Key Drill
Your slowest keys are detected after each test. Click Drill Weak Keys for a targeted practice lesson.
Lessons
Home row to full keyboard, step by step. Each lesson needs 15 WPM and 90% accuracy to pass.
